Python: programming for scientists

Lecturer: Fabian Schneider (homepage), Summersemester 2020, University of Heidelberg
Dates of course: September 7 to 11, 2020.
Registration opens May 4, 2020, 14:00 am, at this address (group 3).

Because of the ongoing Corona pandemic, the course will be taught online. Information (i.e. link and password) on how to access the online course are given in the Uebungssystem. There is also a chat via which you can ask questions and interact with the lecturer. Also, you can reach me in the office by phone: 06221/533-388.

This lecture is to a large extent based on the lecture by Thomas Robitaille.
Below you can find the text and the iPython notebooks that are used in this lecture.
Additions to the original lecture design were made by Markus Demleitner, Robert Schmidt and myself.

The KIP Jupyter Server is the default option to code your IPython/Jupyter notebooks.
You can login with your standard URZ details. Upon first login, a folder called 'data' is created that contains files that we will use during the course.
