Predictions of an analytical model which builds on a constant star formation
efficiency per free fall time. As a result of the cluster-parent clump volume
density profile, stars are formed more efficiently in the cluster centre than in
the cluster outskirts.
- Decrease with time of the gas volume density profile
-
- Increase with time of the stellar component volume density profile
-
- Time evolution of the stellar-component and gas volume density profiles
-
- Evolution with time of the gas volume density profile (left panel; log-log plot) and evolution with time of the star formation efficiency profile (left panel; linear plot)
-
- Evolution with time of the stellar-component surface density profile (left panel; log-log plot; blue diamond: limit of the cluster observed above background level) and evolution with time of the cluster mean volume density vs. cluster size (left panel; red = whole stellar-component; blue: stellar-component region surfacing above stellar foreground+background)
